Topf is an expense tracker for iPhone. Adding what you spent takes two taps — or one spoken sentence. The book lives on your device, so nothing waits for a network.

What it does

  • Two taps, not a form

    The amount comes first, on a keypad built for money. Pick a category and you are done: the account and the date are already set, and a note is optional.

  • Say it out loud

    Speak an ordinary sentence — “spent ninety euros on groceries, fifteen of it on household supplies” — and Topf shows you drafts: two transactions, categorized, dated. Nothing is written until you confirm it, and your words appear on screen while you speak.

  • Works with no network

    A complete copy of your book is on the device, so nothing you write waits for an answer from the network. The app opens in a basement the same way it opens at home, and syncing catches up on its own once there is a connection again.

  • Accounts, currencies, transfers

    Every account keeps its own currency. Transfers move money between them, the rate is fixed at the moment of the transfer and never changes afterwards, and totals are shown in the currency you chose as your main one.

  • What repeats, repeats

    Rent, insurance, subscriptions. A recurring transaction either writes itself into the book or asks first — your choice, one by one. The home screen answers the only question that matters at the end of the month: what is still left to pay.

  • Where the money went

    A ring by category with the ranked list behind it — or the whole month as one flow: what came in on the left, the categories it went to on the right, and what stayed unspent below. Open a category to see its subcategories and then the transactions themselves, and compare a period with the ones before it.

  • One book, two people

    Send someone an invite code and you keep the same book together — same accounts, same categories, same history. Leave, and your own book comes back untouched.

  • Start without an account

    You can start without signing up right on the first screen, and the app works fully offline from there. Connect an account later and the book moves with you.

About your data

No ads, no trackers, no analytics SDKs, and nothing sold to anyone. Sync exists so you have a backup and a second device — not so anybody can read your book. Deleting your account deletes your data. The details are in the privacy policy.
